S4C+ 5 kg 0,8 m The ABB IRB 140 robot is a very compact, fast and flexible robot designed primarily for welding, glueing and light pick and place work. It is also well suited to deburring, cutting, die casting, machine tending, injection moulding, picking, packing, spraying, polishing and many other roles. The IRB 140 is very compact indeed at just 81cm high but has a considerable 6kg payload. It also has accuracy of +-0.03mm and very good path accuracy. The 140 is reknowned for its speed and is affectionately known as the "monkey robot". The S4C+ M2000 controller has a PC based computer which gives excellent stability, functionality and connectivity. The 140 is available in standard, cleanroom and foundry plus and wash version. All the mechanical arms are IP67 rated. The IRB 140 can be floor, ceiling or wall mounted at any angle, which makes for excellent flexibility and easy incorperation into existing production lines. Unlike other robots of this size and type the ABB IRB 140 is of all metal construction - no flimsy plastic covers here!
